This morning, a short run in the hills with a visit at "hameau des Gourdiflots", like in La Soupe aux Choux with Louis de Funes, a little village built by kids, with huts, streets, cemetery, observatory, and his opera house ! Very nice, kids !

France

Today, we ran the Trail de la Baume, in Poulx (south of France), first time for this 18 miles race (3000 ft climb), near the Gardon cliff. A very nice path in the scrubs, and a little technical (a trail runner fell down badly, has been evacuated by helicopter). The scenery needed sometimes to stop and look around... Near this place was made the movie Wages of Fear with Yves Montand in 1952, where his truck has an accident, falling in the precipice.

Chile

A few days in Valle Nevado, in the Cordillera, a resort close to Santiago del Chile, skiing in a pretty good spring snow (south hemisphere). The top elevation is 12000 feet. As it was deserted (we are in low season), we didn't have time to rest, skiing all the day, in a stunning scenery...

France

Today, a run on the trail Mare a Mare Centre (crossing Corsica from Western Porticcio to East coast Solenzara), from St-Georges Pass, eastbound, by Punta Maggiola (3600ft), Punta d'Urghiavan (4300ft), a down to Quasquara village (2100ft) through an ancient chesnut grove (huge trees !). Then, backway !
Beautiful sceneries of forests, ferns fields, rocky edges, technical trails...
An early morning pleasure of 14 miles and 5000ft climbing...
Puis demi-tour !

France

Today a training session along Trail Napoléon, usually coming in June. A wonderful path in the "Bois des Anglais", climbing on Ajaccio heights through the cactus and reach the peak. After some climbing difficulties, we arrive at the eagle rock (picture), with a lots of other rocks scattered in the maquis like giant's handle of gravels. Then, a nice and rocky down hill, a track in a dark and deep valley, and the arrival along the "sentier des douaniers" with a wonderful view on the Sanguinaires Isles. 5 hours go and back...
A beautiful Trail !

Japan

Yes ! I did run the Fuji Race... But the Fuji Mountain Race is a very difficult race, with a lot of gravel, scorias, and WALLS of rocks where you need both feet and hands! Plus the altitude... 4h50 of efforts instead of my 4h30 goal (not very serious to arrive in Japan the day before this kind of course, assuming 7 hours jet flag!) When you arrive on the top of the moutain, I can tell you that you are happy to be there... And, after, as a reward, you need to descend back to get to the bus... A 1500m downhill in sand and dust to finish kill your legs !

China

I came back from Beijing after a few days there, with a lot of pictures in my camera, and more in my head...

I want to thank again the greatwallforum as they provided me some help for the tracks : I needed to divert a little from the Great Wall because of a forbidden military area, making me run through villages and shruberries... A bit difficult to find his way without a local guide, or a gps track!
What is my feedback after this run? Hard enough. Climbing, descending, all the time. High slopes, all the time. Stairs, broken steps, all the time. And warm air, to make it worst...
But what can you think when you are on top of a hill, with no-one in front of you, no-one behind you... You are alone in the Big China !

Hello to all ! As I can't organize more than one expedition per month (and it's a high frequency !) I'd like to give some news between the big dates
