«The long wall of 10000 Li» is a fortification built between 6th century BC and the 16th century to protect the Chinese Empire. It stretches over 4000 miles, roughly delineating the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. 2 or 3 millions people died building the wall along the centuries.
My goal was to join Simatai from Gubeikou by run. Sometimes hard to accomplish due to the high slope and as you can imagine, it’s not easy to run on stairs made with 10cm steps…

The trek is easy, about 17K/1000m climb. There is a military area you have to avoid. Please follow the GPS Track included.
Note : Simatai is closed for work in progress, until end of 2013.
