TEPOZTLAN

 

High on the cliffs above town of Tepoztlán in the Morelos state is the Tepozteco Pyramid.

Built in the early Aztec area (AD 1100-1350) at the top of the Ehecatepetl (“the hill of the wind”) the pyramid is hardly accessible, the climb is steep, arduous and sometimes slippery. The total timing for the ascend depends upon the physical condition of the climber.
